PhillySEEDS has succeeded in its initiative to create the Nellie Reynolds Scholarship Endowment Fund, to create financial stability to our annual PhillySEEDS Scholarship program and assist those in our community that we serve on a daily basis.
PhillySEEDS was created to help the economically lower tier residents of PHA, in ways that PHA cannot. PhillySEEDS is a nonprofit support for PHA, which receives about 93% of its budgeted income from the federal government – and no funds for work done by PhillySEEDS, whose three core programs for public housing assisted residents seek to move them: 1) out (through homeownership assistance), 2) up (through scholarships), and 3) in (through security deposit assistance for those. The generous support of our current and future donors make it possible for our organization to exist and make our community a great place to live.
