The PhillySEEDS 2025 Gala, held at Vie by Cescaphe on July 10,2025, was a record-breaking evening, in terms of number of attendees, amount raised, fun and variety, and as a celebration of community, transformation, and opportunity.
The event brought together PHA residents, community leaders, supporters, and partners for an animated and inspiring night to remember.
Highlights included an appearance by the Philly Phanatic, presentation of the PhillySEEDS scholarship awards, surprise $5,000 checks being given from the HOW Group to two recent first-time homeowners, an inspirational talk (and later music) from recording artist legend Freeway, as well as presentation of the 2025 PhillySEEDS Lifetime Achievement Award to Congressman Dwight Evans and of the Top Seed Award to John and Leigh Middleton, and showing of a video about PhillySEEDS and its impact.
The Middletons then presented PhillySEEDS and its audience, with a fundraising challenge! They will match its fundraising, dollar-for-dollar, for up to $500,000! So, further amounts are being gathered, relating to the gala, and their generosity is much appreciated.
